Machine the hinge position
The hinge area is CNC-machined into the front and temple so the metal sits in a defined pocket instead of being driven directly into the acetate.
ACETATE FRAMES
CNL Optics is a custom acetate glasses manufacturer working with brands, importers and distributors on private label and white label acetate projects. Bring a drawing, reference frame or collection direction so the shape, color, construction, branding and order scope can be reviewed together.

PROJECT INPUTS
Provide the intended silhouette, front width, bridge, temple length and other important dimensions. A drawing or reference sample helps identify the details that need confirmation before sampling.
Logo artwork, preferred placement, color direction and packaging requirements can be included in the same project brief. Private label, white label and whitelabel requests follow the same review: available options depend on the selected frame construction and order scope.
Base colors, transparencies, patterns, layered acetate details and surface finish are reviewed together. Exact material combinations and practical applications are confirmed during development.
Use the sample to review shape, dimensions, color, logo details and finish. Revisions, inspection points, packing and production timing are then agreed for the specific order.
For layered colors and selected contrast areas, review acetate lamination capability.
For the broader supplier process, see optical frame manufacturing in China and eyewear quality control planning.
Organize branding and packaging through the OEM, ODM and private label process.
FEATURED FRAME
Use the frame shown above as a starting point. Tell us which shape, color or details you would like to retain or change. Availability and specifications are confirmed for your project.
Discuss this frameRIVET HINGES
This recessed rivet construction fixes the hinge into a precision-machined seat in the acetate. The result is a stable hinge with consistent temple alignment, while the extra machining and pressing steps require coordinated equipment and careful process control.
The hinge area is CNC-machined into the front and temple so the metal sits in a defined pocket instead of being driven directly into the acetate.
Front and temple hinge leaves are matched and checked for position before fixing, reducing the risk of a high or low temple.
Rivets are pressed through the prepared holes to lock the hinge in place. Two-rivet or three-rivet layouts are selected according to the frame size and hinge design.
Opening force, hinge stability, temple height and the finished acetate surface are checked before the frame moves to the next operation.

A larger hinge area can use three visible rivets for a secure, balanced fixing.

Compact frame sizes may use a two-rivet layout, confirmed against the hinge and frame dimensions.
PROJECT CHECKLIST
The information below helps the team identify open questions before feasibility, sampling and commercial terms are confirmed.
| Decision | What to provide | What is confirmed per project |
|---|---|---|
| Frame direction | Drawing, reference frame, dimensions and intended wearer | Construction questions and sampling route |
| Acetate appearance | Base color, transparency, pattern, lamination placement and finish | Available material direction and practical application |
| Private label details | Logo artwork, placement, color and packaging direction | Feasible branding and packing options |
| Order scope | Quantity by style and color, target market and desired timing | MOQ, sample terms, production schedule and inspection scope |
BUYER QUESTIONS
Need an answer for a specific design?
Ask our team ↗
Private label discussions can include frame shape, acetate color, logo details and packaging. Feasible options and commercial terms are confirmed after the design and quantity are reviewed.
White label and whitelabel describe the same private label route for acetate glasses. The buyer selects the frame direction, color, logo details and packaging, and the available options are confirmed for the specific design and order.
Send a drawing or reference image, preferred dimensions, color direction, expected quantity, target market and branding needs.
Yes. Share the intended colors, pattern, placement and a reference image so the lamination route can be reviewed for the design.
Minimum quantities depend on the construction, color count, components and customization. They are confirmed after the brief is reviewed.
